Catch-Up with Jin

In a warm moment of “Catch-Up with Jin”, we enjoyed my favourite Bak Chor Mee, followed by tea and dessert along Serangoon Road.

There’s nothing quite like catching up with an Jin and that’s exactly what we did with Jin this week.

To kick things off, I brought Jin to one of my all-time favourite local eats: Bak Chor Mee. For those who aren’t familiar, it’s a beloved Singaporean dish made of springy noodles tossed in a tangy, savoury sauce, topped with minced pork, mushrooms, and crispy lard bits. It’s comfort food at its finest, and I couldn’t think of a better dish to share with Jin for his first taste of it.

After our delicious meal, we took a slow stroll down Serangoon Road, soaking in the lively atmosphere of the neighbourhood. The area, rich with culture and colours, made the perfect backdrop for deeper conversations and well-deserved laughter.

We wrapped up our little adventure with some tea and dessert at a cozy spot nearby  the ideal way to unwind and reflect on good times, both past and present.

Spending time like this reminds us that behind every professional connection, there’s a personal story and moments like these are what truly build lasting relationships.
